Guangzhou Sunac Grand Theatre won the IES Lighting Design Award

The IES Lighting Award is presented annually by IES, which has a history of more than 100 years. Together with the Lighting Design Awards issued by Lighting magazine and the IALD Lighting Awards issued by the International Association of Lighting Designers, it is the three most authoritative lighting design awards in the world today, representing the highest level of design in the world that year.

The concept design of GuangzhouRongchuang Yuexiu Grant Theater takes the idea of “dancing red silk”and make the overall building looking like a red silk dancing in the wind.Decorated with classic pattern of Golden Yue Embroidery and dynamic externalcurtain wall design, Guangzhou Rongchuang Yuexiu Grant Theater creates a uniqueand distinctive landmark highlight of the city and shows the unique charm ofit.

As a key city of the sea routeof Silk Road, Guangzhou has been an important port for China's foreigntrade since ancient times. Inspired by "Silk" and"Yue embroidery" , the smooth exterior design reflects thedancing posture of red silk, with the classic pattern of Gold Yue embroiderydecorated with red silk, covering the interior of the show. After thecompletion of the Guangzhou show will become a local landmark.
