Project Overview：
▲ Geographical location
The project is located in Dapeng New District, Shenzhen, Guangdong Province, close to Dapeng Bay. It is 30km away from downtown Shenzhen, 140km away from the provincial capital Guangzhou, and 50km and 100km away from Hong Kong and Macau Special Administrative Regions respectively.
▲ Packaging theme story line
The protagonist Taotao found an ocean expedition diary and a letter in the attic of his new home. Decided to follow the contents of the diary to return to the wonderful sea to find the mysterious pearl. Based on the peculiar treasure hunting experience of Taotao, the aquarium is used as the carrier of the entire package to plan the tour route.

According to the story line of Taotao searching for pearls, the indoor packaging forms different areas with the theme of corals, jellyfish, sharks, etc.

According to the divided areas of the interior, the lighting is planned as the eight themes of retrospect, fantasy, fantasy, environment, macro, exploration, fun and leisure according to the story line. Different lighting themes create different ocean atmospheres, showing the treasure hunting process of Taotao.
Lighting design analysis：

Story line: The entrance facade uses the boxes, envelopes, and diaries discovered by Taotao as the packaging theme, symbolizing the beginning of Taotao’s exploration of pearls.
Light analysis: the yellow light at the ticket window reflects the slightly chronological letters and boxes on the wall, telling the beginning of the story. The huge whale swims slowly across the dot matrix screen of the guardrail, creating a sense of crossing into the ocean world from land space. Enhance tourists’ feelings of exploring and tracing the ocean world.
Lighting Technology Implementation:

There are three types of LED dot matrix screens: single color, double color and full color. Single primary color dot matrix can only display fixed colors such as red, green, yellow and other single colors. The color of dual primary color and three primary color dot matrix display content is determined by the combination of different color light-emitting diodes in the pixel, such as red and green. It can display yellow at the same time. If the light-up time of the diode is controlled according to the pulse method, 256 or higher gray scale display can be realized, and true color display can be realized.
Take the “16×16” dot matrix screen as an example, it means that the number of horizontal and vertical dots in one square meter is less than 16, and the more the number, the clearer the image. According to the size of the fence of the entrance lobby of this project, choose a “16×16” screen.
▲Dream Ocean Theme Hall (Strange – Fantasy, Fun)
Story line: Under the protection of the bulb, Taotao can breathe freely. What’s more interesting is that what you see through the bubbles are three-dimensional, vivid underwater creatures.
Light analysis: The spherical film uses the three-dimensional projection of the sphere to form the feeling of bubbles, and the size of the bubbles changes. At this time, tourists seem to have become a part of the ocean and are watched by Taotao. At the same time, tourists also feel that Taotao in the bubble is endless.

Install a customized logo sheet in the projector and project it vertically to the reflective surface to form an image on the polyester film through the principle of diffraction.
▲Coral Ocean Fish Area (Strange – Fantasy, Fun)
Story line: Taotao was attracted by the beauty of the ocean, lovely ocean fish, gorgeous corals, all these are comparable to the colorful diary records, Taotao learned a lot of ocean knowledge, and found some clues to pearls.
Lighting analysis: The bright cylinder is in contrast with the dark environment created by external accent lighting. The pearl clue is hidden in the luminous text that flickers and flickers.
▲Jellyfish area (fantasy – gorgeous, dreamy)
Story line: It is written in the clues of the coral area that the jellyfish group like the starry sky is beautiful and charming. Don’t get lost in this seabed starry sky.
Lighting analysis: The colored lights change repeatedly in the jellyfish tank, and the jellyfish reflected in the mirror form a maze of reality. The projection of the starlight on the top surface is as if away from each other, with soothing music, the whole space is also real and colorful.

Story line: Taotao, who was almost lost in the jellyfish area, was overstretched and found a quiet space to replenish his energy.
Lighting analysis: the cylinder body overflows with faint blue light, and the soft warm light on the tabletop is full of tranquility. The self-luminous small fish device on the top surface increases the mood. While watching the fish while dining, it is cozy and comfortable.

Story line: The energetic Taotao turned out the diary. The diary records that the mysterious pearl may be on the sunken ship, but the shark area is the only way to enter the sunken ship.
Light analysis: The dim blue light provides a cold and deep atmosphere for the shark exhibition area. In a space with extremely low illumination, the dynamic sharks played on the electronic screen express the warning of danger and enhance the sense of immersion and experience. Passing through the shark area, the eyes were attracted by the water ripple lights on the ground, and when he raised his head, the huge shipwreck tank appeared in the field of vision, as if the treasure was in front of him.

Story line: There are no pearls on the sunken ship, but there is a new reminder inside the ship that Taotao needs to travel through the tropical rain forest and it is not far from the pearl.
Lighting analysis: lights from different angles are irradiated on the surface of packaging and sculptures and then reflected to the ground to meet the ground safety lighting while effectively enhancing the visual contrast between light and dark.
▲Animal performance area (fun – fun, interpretation)
Story line: Through the rainforest, Taotao is attracted by the gleaming light on the sea. The fish are dragging pearls out of the sea, and they must be tamed if they want to get pearls. Taotao finally won the pearl through the knowledge and experience gained from previous expeditions.
Light analysis: floodlights are installed on the wall of the pool, and the floodlight source illuminates the water surface like a pearl. The stage area adds interactive lighting installations to enhance the fun and appreciation of the interpretation.

Story line: After exploring, Taotao recalled these wonderful experiences in the rest area, thinking about how to record and preserve these experiences. Whether it is a photo or a small shell, it tells of this strange journey.
Lighting analysis: The shell-shaped chandelier provides soft and comfortable brightness for the desktop, and the warm color light source creates a relaxing atmosphere. People feel relaxed and comfortable in the space.
Difficulties in lighting technology：
Black face when taking pictures: The photos taken by tourists due to lighting problems are dark and blurry, and facial expressions cannot be clearly seen.

What kind of lighting looks good when shooting people?
Frontal light: Usually, very warm light is produced in the early morning or evening, and this light will show a very comfortable golden yellow on the skin, so it will be very beautiful to take portraits during this time.
Side light: As the name suggests, it means to let the light shine from the side to the subject you want to shoot. When the subject is set like this, the opposite side of the subject will become a shadow, one side is light and the other is shadow, which can create a more three-dimensional appearance for the subject .

Narrow-angle soft spotlights are added to the ceiling to provide face fill light for visitors, and a sensor device is used to make the lights on when people are on and off when people are not.
Project Overview：
The lighting design of the “underwater world” should be more delicate than the basic lighting methods of the museum. The lighting should pay attention to the overall brightness not to be too high, and appropriately increase the water ripple, projection, dyeing and other effects and atmosphere lighting to enhance the space experience Sense, immersion, mystery.
An independent experience space is set up with a combination of key lighting, multimedia interpretation, and interactive lighting to enhance the fun and interaction of the game, allow tourists to participate in it, and enhance the game experience.
Cylinder lighting is the most important part of the aquarium lighting. The high-quality lighting environment restores the true appearance of the creatures in the depths of the natural ocean, meets the needs of biological growth, and satisfies the amazing experience of the audience, leaving visitors with the deepest impression.
